GLB vs OBJ vs STL: which file to download for printing
Use GLB to preview in the browser, STL to slice for 3D printing, and OBJ when you want to edit in a tool like Blender. You do not generate three models. One PrintMesh generation can export more than one format.
The product page for this path is Export GLB, OBJ, and STL.
Use GLB to preview
GLB is what PrintMesh shows in the browser. It is the source mesh. Use it to decide whether the shape is right before you convert. Most slicers want STL, not GLB.
Use STL to slice and print
STL is the file to open in Cura, PrusaSlicer, or Bambu Studio. PrintMesh converts STL from the GLB. It is not a second generation.
Inspect the STL in the slicer: scale, orientation, overhangs. A clean preview does not mean a clean slice.
Use OBJ when you need to edit
OBJ is for editors such as Blender. Use it when you need to tweak geometry before printing. If you are not editing, skip OBJ and download STL.
Download more than one format
Download GLB for a copy of the preview, STL for the slicer, and OBJ only if you will edit. For the photo-to-file steps, see From photo to STL: a practical 3D printing workflow. For what to inspect before filament, see What to check on a mesh before you slice.
