Features for turning images into printable 3D files
PrintMesh turns a single image into a 3D mesh you can preview as GLB, edit as OBJ, or slice as STL. This page is the feature map: convert a photo to STL, understand what print-ready means here, and pick the export format for your next step.
What PrintMesh includes
Image to STL
Upload a JPG or PNG, generate a real 3D mesh, and download STL for your slicer. Not a lithophane or a raised logo.
Print-ready meshes
The workflow is built for 3D printing, but a good preview is not a print guarantee. Inspect the STL in your slicer first.
GLB, OBJ, and STL export
One generation previews as GLB, then converts to OBJ for editors and STL for Cura, PrusaSlicer, or Bambu Studio.
How it works
01
Upload
Drop in a product shot, sketch, or character image with one clear subject.
02
Convert
Choose Standard, High, or Ultra. AI builds a 3D mesh and shows a GLB preview in the browser.
03
Download
Export GLB right away, then convert to OBJ or STL when you need an editor or a slicer file.
GLB, OBJ, and STL
| Format | Use it for | Print note |
|---|---|---|
| GLB | In-browser preview | Ready first; not the usual slicer format |
| OBJ | Blender and other editors | Use when you need to clean up the mesh |
| STL | Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio | Standard print format; inspect before you slice |
Frequently asked questions
What does PrintMesh do?
PrintMesh is an image-to-3D tool for makers. You upload one image, generate a mesh, preview it as GLB, and export OBJ or STL for editing or 3D printing.
Which file formats can I download?
GLB, OBJ, and STL. GLB is the preview file. OBJ is for editors. STL is what most slicers expect.
Do I need Blender or CAD?
No. The generate flow is upload, wait, preview, download. You can still open OBJ in Blender afterward if you want to edit.
How do credits work?
Free accounts get 10 one-time credits and watermarked downloads. Standard uses 1 credit, High uses 3, Ultra uses 5. Paid plans add monthly credits and unwatermarked downloads. See Pricing for the current amounts.
